One of the things I found interesting on the top 100 tools for learning was the Whatsapp. I have never used this app as an education tool but I have family who lives in a 3rd world country and this is how they communicate with use. Me and all my cousins are in a group like text message and we call text each other and keep up with one another through this app.
Something else that suprised me was that 5 social media sites are ranked higher than Word. Obviously Word has a significant place in education because of all the papers that are required from students. However, it seems that Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Blogger are used more.
I do not consider myself technology inclined; however, I know my way around the internet and social media. Some of the tools listed I have never heard of before. If I had to guess I have only heard about 1/3 of the whole list. This makes me feel even less technology inclined.
